Sidebøyninger

Sidebøyninger, also known as lateral bends or side bends, are a fundamental movement pattern in yoga and various forms of exercise that involve bending the torso sideways. These movements primarily target the oblique muscles of the abdomen, the intercostal muscles between the ribs, and the muscles along the spine, including the erector spinae. Sidebøyninger are often incorporated into warm-ups, cool-downs, and flexibility routines due to their ability to improve mobility, balance, and core strength.

In yoga, sidebøyninger are commonly performed in poses such as *Parivrtta Trikonasana* (Revolved Triangle Pose) or *Ardha Chandrasana* (Half Moon Pose), where the body is extended sideways while maintaining stability.
