Shifokorlik, or the medical profession, is the practice and science of preventing, diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and injuries, and of promoting health. The term combines shifokor (doctor) with the suffix -lik, denoting a field or condition. Shifokorlik encompasses a broad range of activities, from direct patient care to research, education, and public health.

Education and training: In most countries, becoming a shifokor requires completing a medical degree, followed by postgraduate training such as a residency or internship, and obtaining a license to practice.
