Schuurweerstand

Schuurweerstand, often translated as abrasion resistance or wear resistance, is a material property that describes its ability to withstand damage caused by friction and rubbing. It is a critical factor in the performance and longevity of many products, particularly those subjected to repeated surface contact. Materials with high schuurweerstand can endure significant wear without losing their structural integrity or functional characteristics.

This property is influenced by several material factors, including hardness, toughness, and the presence of specific microstructural features.
