Sawhni
Sawhni is a town and municipal council in the Jhajjar district of the Indian state of Haryana. It lies approximately 70 kilometres south of Chandigarh and about 90 kilometres north of Delhi, and is situated on the Dhanni plain. The town covers an area of around 25 square kilometres and has a population of roughly 25,000 residents according to the 2011 Census of India. The official language is Hindi, and the local dialect is a mixture of Haryanvi and Punjabi. The demographic composition includes a mix of various social groups, with agriculture being a major occupation among the inhabitants.
Geographically, Sawhni is located near the Aravali range, with a gently undulating landscape dominated by farmland.
