Samenhang

Samenhang is a Dutch term that denotes the quality of being connected, integrated, or logically consistent within a whole. It refers to how well parts fit together and support one another to form a unified system, plan, or text. The concept is used across disciplines to describe how elements relate and function as an interconnected unit.

In linguistics and text analysis, samenhang (coherence) describes how sentences and ideas are linked to each other. This includes the use of pronouns, transitional words, and shared topics to create a readable and comprehensible whole.
