SDG2
SDG2, or Sustainable Development Goal 2, aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030. It is part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted in 2015, which comprises 17 goals intended to guide global development. SDG2 focuses on ending hunger and malnutrition and on building resilient, sustainable food systems.
The goal is organized around nine targets (2.1–2.5, 2.a–2.c) with accompanying indicators to track progress. Target
Progress toward SDG2 is uneven and depends on factors such as conflict, climate change, and financial support.
