Roolilähtöiset is a Finnish term that translates to "role-based" in English. It is primarily used in the context of software development, information technology, and organizational management to describe systems, processes, or structures where access, permissions, or responsibilities are determined by an individual's role within a group or organization. Instead of assigning permissions to individual users, access is granted to specific roles, and users are then assigned to those roles. This simplifies management, especially in large organizations, as changes to permissions only need to be made to the role, and all users within that role automatically inherit the updated access.
