It often involves workforce reductions, renegotiation of supplier contracts, and changes to governance and leadership.

The process typically follows diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with careful attention to stakeholder communication, legal compliance, and risk management. Effective restructures require clear objectives, realistic timelines, and consideration of organizational culture, as failure to manage people and relationships can undermine outcomes. Potential benefits include increased efficiency, better capital allocation, and strengthened competitive position, but restructures also carry execution risk and can disrupt operations and morale.
