Reforças
Reforças is a term that most commonly appears as a verb form in Portuguese, meaning “you reinforce.” Specifically, it is the second-person singular present indicative of reforçar. The same root also appears in other forms, such as reforço (reinforcement) in its noun form. In that sense, the concept of reforças is closely tied to the idea of increasing strength, capacity, or security in a person, group, or system. In standard use, the noun for multiple reinforcements is reforços, not reforças, but the verb form remains widespread.
In military and security contexts, reforças typically refer to units, troops, or resources sent to strengthen
In sports, especially football, reforças denotes players or staff brought in to improve a team’s performance.
In construction and engineering, reforços refer to structural reinforcements added to buildings, bridges, or other works
Etymology and usage notes: reforçar comes from re- plus fortalecer, meaning to make stronger again or anew.
