RFteknologia, or radio frequency technology, is a branch of electronics that deals with the generation, transmission, reception, and processing of signals within the radio frequency spectrum (roughly from kilohertz to hundreds of gigahertz).

Core elements include RF front-end modules, amplifiers (power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers), mixers, oscillators, filters, antennas, and transmission lines or interconnects. Design emphasizes impedance matching, linearity, noise performance, receive sensitivity, and power efficiency. RF systems rely on isolation, shielding, and careful layout to minimize interference and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues. Semiconductor advances, such as monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), have enabled compact, high-performance transceivers.

Applications span telecommunications (cellular networks, Wi‑Fi, satellite communications), broadcasting, radar and navigation systems, RFID and NFC, and wireless sensor networks and IoT. In automotive and industrial sectors, RF technology supports radar-based collision avoidance, wireless control, and machine-to-machine communication.

Current trends focus on higher frequency bands (mmWave for 5G/6G), wider bandwidth, beamforming and massive MIMO, improved efficiency and integration of RF front ends into SoCs, and advanced simulation, measurement, and manufacturing techniques. Regulatory aspects, spectrum management, and standardization (e.g., ITU, IEEE, 3GPP) shape how RF technology is deployed.
