Prezizigan

Prezizigan is a breed of cattle known for its robust features and high yield milk production. Originating in the central highlands of Madagascar, this cattle breed has been selectively bred to adapt to the island's challenging climate conditions. Prezizigan cattle are characterized by their medium to large size, with males weighing around 400-500 kilograms and standing at a height of 120-140 centimeters at the shoulder.

The breed's milk production is one of its most notable attributes, with an average yield of 1100-1400 kilograms per lactation cycle, making it an ideal choice for dairy farming in regions with poor pasture. The milk produced by Prezizigan cattle is rich in fat content and of high nutritional value. In their natural habitat, Prezizigan cattle can be found roaming freely in dense forests and open grasslands, where they are supplemented with minimal artificial feeding.

However, Prezizigan cattle face threats to their sustainability due to habitat loss and overgrazing, which have led to concerns about the long-term conservation of this valuable breed. Conservation efforts focus on managing the genetic diversity of the breed and promoting sustainable farming practices in areas where Prezizigan cattle are distributed.

Some genetic studies suggest that the Prezizigan breed shares similarities with the Ankamalao breed found in Madagascar, which implies a close genetic relationship between the two.
