Pistossanan

Pistossanan is a coastal town on the island of Astería in the Neralic Archipelago. It sits along a sheltered bay and functions as a local fishing hub and harbor for nearby communities. The economy relies on a traditional fishing fleet, mussel farming in nearby waters, and a growing seasonal tourism sector.

Geographically the island features rocky headlands, beaches, and small inland valleys. Pistossanan covers a compact area and has a temperate maritime climate with mild winters and warm summers. The harbor accommodates fishing boats and ferries serving the surrounding settlements.

Demographically the municipality has several thousand residents, including families with multi-generational ties and newcomers drawn by fisheries and tourism. Pistossanan is governed by a mayor and municipal council elected by residents and forms part of the regional governance framework.

Infrastructure includes a ferry terminal linking Pistossanan to neighboring islands, coastal roads, and limited bus service. The nearest domestic airport is on the adjacent island.

Cultural life centers on the annual Harbor Festival, featuring seafood tastings, music, and crafts. Notable landmarks include the St. Elara Lighthouse, the preserved Saltworks, and the marina that anchors the town's maritime identity.
