PascaPerang is a term used to describe the period that follows armed conflict, marked by efforts to restore security, rebuild infrastructure, and reestablish political and social life. The term is often used in Indonesian and Malay-speaking contexts to refer to the postwar era rather than a single year or event.

During pascaPerang, governments and international partners pursue ceasefire verification, demobilization and reintegration of former combatants, humanitarian relief, and reconstruction of housing, schools, and health facilities. Political transitions frequently involve negotiations, reform of institutions, rule of law development, and the creation or reform of electoral systems. Economic stabilization, currency reforms, debt relief, and investment promotion aim to revive growth and reduce poverty. Reconciliation and memory work, including truth-seeking and transitional justice, may accompany reforms.

Challenges in pascaPerang include residual violence, mistrust between communities, displacement, and trauma. Economic disruption, corruption, and bureaucratic inertia can slow recovery.
