PDLCs
PDLCs, or Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystals, are a type of smart glass material. They consist of small droplets of liquid crystal dispersed within a polymer matrix. These droplets, typically a few micrometers in size, scatter light when an electric field is not applied. This scattering causes the material to appear opaque or frosted.
When an electric field is applied across the PDLC film, the liquid crystal molecules align themselves with
PDLCs are utilized in a variety of applications. Common uses include privacy glass for windows in homes
