Movano

Movano is the name used by Opel and Vauxhall for their large light commercial van aimed at European fleets and businesses. In Europe, the Movano is the badge-engineered version of Renault’s Master van, sharing the same platform, many components, and production lineage with the French model. The Movano has been offered in multiple generations since its introduction in the late 1990s, and it has been produced in several body configurations to suit commercial needs, including panel vans, crew vans, and chassis cabs, with a range of wheelbases and roof heights.

Historically, the Movano has been part of a broader family of related models sold under different marques. In addition to Opel and Vauxhall branding, the same van has appeared as the Renault Master in other markets, and earlier incarnations were sold as the Nissan Interstar in some regions. The Movano competes in the large van segment against rivals such as Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Volkswagen Transporter/Crafter, and Iveco Daily, and is commonly used for fleet and commercial operations, from logistics to service fleets.

Powertrains have typically centered on diesel engines meeting European emissions standards, with various transmission options. Modern Movanos emphasize practical loading versatility, driver-assistance features, and configurable interiors to accommodate different commercial tasks.
