Metallkorpuses are metallic enclosures designed to house and protect functional subsystems in environments that require robustness and reliable thermal management. The term is used mainly in speculative engineering discussions and in niche research contexts, where the focus is on modular, sealed or semi-sealed metal housings for sensitive components.

Designs range from compact, capsule-like shells to elongated, multi-chamber boxes.
