Matusekost

Matusekost is a rare and severe form of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that is characterized by profound intellectual disability, severe motor impairments, and a lack of speech. The term "matusekost" is derived from the names of the two doctors who first described the condition in 1966: Dr. Hans Asperger and Dr. Leo Kanner. While Asperger's syndrome and Kanner's autism are now recognized as distinct conditions, matusekost represents the most severe end of the autism spectrum.

Individuals with matusekost typically exhibit severe motor impairments, including limited or no use of their limbs, and may require assistance with basic activities of daily living.
