MacDui
Macdui, also known as Ben Macdui, is the second-highest mountain in Scotland, located in the Cairngorms National Park. It is the highest point in the Cairngorm massif and the third-highest in the United Kingdom. The mountain is characterized by a vast, undulating plateau, largely covered in snow for much of the year, making it a challenging but rewarding destination for hillwalkers and climbers.
The summit plateau is a desolate and often windswept environment, with several cairns marking the highest point.
Macdui's name is believed to derive from the Gaelic "Mac Duibh," meaning "son of the dark one,"
The most popular route to the summit begins from the Cairngorm Mountain ski area, though other approaches
