Cairngorm
Cairn Gorm, commonly spelled Cairngorm, is the highest peak in the Cairngorms, a mountainous region in the eastern Scottish Highlands. The summit reaches 1,245 meters (4,085 feet) above sea level and lies near Aviemore in Strathspey, within the Highland council area and the Cairngorms National Park. The name derives from Scottish Gaelic Càrn Gorm, meaning “blue hill” or “blue cairn.”
