Lättmetaller
Lättmetaller, or light metals, are a group of metallic elements characterized by their low density. This low density is a defining physical property that distinguishes them from heavier metals. While there is no strict, universally agreed-upon cutoff for what constitutes a "light metal," they generally have densities significantly lower than those of transition metals or the f-block elements. Common examples of lättmetaller include aluminum, magnesium, titanium, sodium, potassium, and calcium.
These metals are often found in the s-block and p-block of the periodic table. Their chemical properties
The low density of lättmetaller makes them highly valuable in applications where weight reduction is crucial.
