Lämpömuovauskoneet

Lämpömuovauskoneet, known in English as thermoforming machines, are a type of industrial equipment used to process thermoplastic sheets. These machines work by heating a plastic sheet until it is pliable and then forming it over a mold using vacuum, pressure, or both. The heated sheet is stretched and conforms to the shape of the mold, creating a finished product. Once cooled, the plastic retains the molded shape.

There are several types of thermoforming machines, including vacuum forming machines, pressure forming machines, and twin-sheet forming machines. Vacuum forming is the most common, relying on atmospheric pressure to draw the plastic onto the mold. Pressure forming uses higher pressures to create more detailed and precise parts. Twin-sheet forming involves heating two separate sheets and forming them together around a mold, often used for creating hollow or reinforced parts.

The applications for thermoformed products are vast, ranging from food packaging (like trays and containers) and medical packaging to automotive components, consumer goods, and industrial housings. The process is known for its efficiency and cost-effectiveness, particularly for high-volume production of relatively simple shapes. Materials commonly used in thermoforming include polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polystyrene (PS), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The versatility of thermoforming allows for the creation of a wide array of products with varying thicknesses and complexities.
