Lingujt is a constructed language designed to illustrate typological diversity within a compact system. It is primarily used in academic contexts to demonstrate how various grammatical categories can be combined in a single language. The project outlines a fictional community in a coastal archipelago and serves as a tool for linguistics pedagogy and cross-language typology research.

Phonology and phonotactics: Lingujt has a moderate consonant inventory of 18 phonemes and five vowels. Syllables are typically open, with CV or CVC structures, and stress is phonemic, usually falling on the penultimate syllable. The phonotactic rules limit consonant clusters to two and prefer simple onset structures.

Morphology and syntax: The language is largely agglutinative, using suffixes to mark number on nouns and to encode tense, aspect, and mood on verbs. Noun phrases show nominative-accusative alignment, with determiners optional and demonstratives encoding distance. Verbs agree with their subjects in person and number through auxiliary markers. Basic word order is SVO, though case marking allows some flexibility in sentence structure.

Lexicon and usage: The vocabulary is designed to be culturally neutral and is not tied to any real ethnic group. A small community of learners and hobbyists studies Lingujt to compare typological patterns across languages.
