Lenirak

Lenirak is a small settlement situated in the northern highlands of the Republic of X. The village lies at an elevation of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by dense coniferous forests and rolling hills. Its geographic coordinates are 45.672°N latitude and 12.134°E longitude. The area benefits from a temperate climate with mild, wet winters and cool, dry summers, making it suitable for a variety of alpine flora.

The local economy is largely based on subsistence agriculture, forestry, and seasonal tourism. Residents cultivate hardy crops such as barley, rye, and root vegetables, and manage small-scale livestock herds of goats and sheep. The surrounding forests provide timber, firewood, and a source of non-timber forest products such as berries and medicinal herbs. In recent years, the community has developed modest hiking and wildlife‑watching trails, attracting visitors during the summer months and supporting small local businesses such as guesthouses and craft shops.

Lenirak has a history that dates back to the early 18th century, when it was established as a fortified outpost to protect inland trade routes from raiding parties. Over the centuries it evolved into a modest parish community, with the Lumin Church serving as both a religious center and a communal gathering place. Today, Lenirak is recognized for its blend of traditional highland culture and emerging eco‑tourism initiatives.
