Laminaealternating

Laminaealternating is a term used to describe a pattern in which consecutive laminae within a layered material alternate in a particular property, such as composition, stiffness, refractive index, or mineral content. The concept is interdisciplinary and is often invoked when discussing highly ordered, stratified structures where the sequence of layers influences overall behavior.

The term laminaealternating is a neologism rather than a standardized technical label.
