Lakótelepek
Lakótelepek is a Hungarian term that literally translates to "dwelling plots" or more commonly "housing estates." The word combines lakó, meaning resident or dwelling, with telek, meaning plot or site. In Hungarian urban and suburban contexts it is used to describe planned residential areas that typically contain multiple housing units laid out on a coordinated site plan. These estates often feature uniform architecture, shared green spaces, and communal amenities such as playgrounds, sports facilities, and sometimes local shops.
