LDstructuur

LDstructuur is a term used in Dutch that refers to the notion of a structural arrangement associated with the initials LD, whose exact meaning varies by disciplinary context. Because LD can stand for different concepts in different fields, the term is best understood as a placeholder for the specific structural design that a field uses to organize its elements.

In linguistics, LDstructuur often relates to long-distance structures, where a grammatical relation spans more than a local syntactic domain. This includes phenomena such as long-distance dependencies in which a moved element (for example, a wh-word) leaves a gap in its original position, creating a link between distant parts of a sentence.
