Kudosperfuusion is a hypothetical concept in biomedical science and neuroethics that envisions integrating social reinforcement signals with targeted tissue perfusion to influence physiological or neural responses. The term combines kudos, meaning praise or reward, with perfusion, the flow of fluid through vascular or circulatory networks.

The term emerged in speculative discussions about how social feedback mechanisms could interact with physiological delivery systems. It is not an established clinical technique, and there are no standardized protocols or approved applications. The idea remains primarily in thought experiments and hypothetical models rather than practice.

Concept and proposed mechanism

In theory, kudosperfuusion would involve delivering a perfusate—a controlled fluid containing signaling molecules, neuromodulators, or neurotrophic factors—into a targeted tissue or brain region, while embedding social reinforcement cues within or alongside the delivered signals. The goal would be to modulate plasticity, mood, or tissue healing by coupling physiological perfusion with reinforcement signaling. Implementations would require precise localization, controllable release kinetics, and safeguards to monitor effects in real time. At present, such protocols are speculative and have not progressed to experimental validation or clinical trials.

Applications and limitations
