Kristdemokraterna

Kristdemokraterna (KD) is a political party in Sweden that identifies with Christian democracy and center-right politics. Founded in 1964 as a Christian-democratic movement, the party combines advocacy for traditional family values and social welfare with a market-based economy. Its policy emphasis includes family policy, healthcare, elderly care, education, and support for voluntary associations and local communities.

History and organization: KD originated from church and lay movements and gradually developed into a national party.
