Klingbergs

This breed is also characterized by its large, round body and relatively short legs.

The Klingberg was developed in the late 1980s by Swedish cat breeder, Eva Klingberg. She aimed to create a cat that was robust and healthy, with a strong and muscular build. The breed was officially recognized by the World Cat Federation (WCF) in 1995.

Klingbergs are generally healthy cats, but like all breeds, they can be prone to certain health issues. These may include dental problems, urinary tract issues, and certain genetic conditions. Regular veterinary check-ups and a balanced diet are essential for maintaining the health of Klingbergs.

The temperament of Klingbergs is described as friendly, intelligent, and somewhat reserved. They are known to be good with children and other pets when properly socialized. However, they may not be the best choice for families with very young children due to their sometimes independent nature.
