KlasikDSGE

KlasikDSGE is an open-source framework for constructing and analyzing Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium models. It is designed for economists and quantitative researchers working with classical DSGE formulations, offering a modular environment to specify agents, preferences, technology, frictions, and exogenous shocks.

Core features include a modeling interface that allows users to describe models without writing extensive numerical code, automatic linearization around steady states, and algorithms for solving and simulating both linearized and nonlinear versions. The framework supports standard policy analysis, impulse response computation, steady-state evaluation, and scenario comparison. For estimation and calibration, KlasikDSGE provides workflows for Bayesian inference and maximum likelihood estimation, with interfaces to common samplers and optimization routines, enabling model comparison via information criteria and predictive checks.

Design goals emphasize reproducibility, transparency, and extensibility. The project adheres to open-source software practices, encouraging community contributions and providing documentation, tutorials, and example models. While primarily used for academic research, KlasikDSGE is also employed in teaching macroeconomics and in policy-simulation exercises.
