They come in various categories, with Cat 5e and Cat 6 being the most widely used. These cables support data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps, making them suitable for both wired and wireless network extensions.

In home entertainment systems, kabelbaserede connections are used for high-definition audio and video transmission. HDMI cables, which carry both audio and video signals, are the standard for connecting devices like TVs, Blu-ray players, and gaming consoles. Component cables, which transmit video signals separately, are used for connecting older devices or for specific applications.

Despite their advantages, kabelbaserede systems have some limitations. They require physical connections, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming. Additionally, the cables themselves can be damaged or cut, leading to disruptions in service. However, advancements in technology are continually improving the performance and convenience of kabelbaserede systems.
