KFOR
KFOR, short for Kosovo Force, is a NATO-led multinational peacekeeping force deployed in Kosovo. It was established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 in June 1999, following the Kosovo War, and began operations to stabilize the region and support the transition to a civilian-led administration. Its mission is to deter renewed conflict, create a safe and secure environment, ensure freedom of movement for all communities, and assist institutions in establishing a stable, democratic, multi-ethnic society.
