Kosovos
Kosovos is a term sometimes used to refer to the territory commonly known as Kosovo. In English, Kosovo is the standard name, and Kosovos may appear as a possessive form in some contexts or as a Latinized rendering. The region is a landlocked area in the Balkans whose political status is disputed and who declared independence from Serbia in 2008. It is recognized by a majority of United Nations members, but not by Serbia and several other states, and its status remains subject to international negotiation and settlement efforts led by the European Union and other actors. The capital and largest city is Pristina.
