Jäähdytyskalvon

Jäähdytyskalvo, also known as a cooling film or heat spreader, is a material designed to dissipate heat away from electronic components. These films are typically made from thermally conductive materials, often polymers, ceramics, or composites, which are engineered to efficiently transfer heat. The primary function of a jäähdytyskalvo is to prevent overheating of sensitive electronics such as processors, power semiconductors, and LED lighting. By providing a low thermal resistance path for heat to travel, it allows the component to operate at a lower temperature, thus improving reliability and performance.

The effectiveness of a jäähdytyskalvo is determined by its thermal conductivity, thickness, and surface area. Higher thermal conductivity means heat can travel through the material more quickly. Thinner films generally offer less resistance to heat flow. The way the film is applied and interfaces with both the heat-generating component and a heat sink is also critical. Often, thermal interface materials like thermal paste or pads are used in conjunction with the jäähdytyskalvo to ensure good thermal contact and minimize air gaps, which can act as insulators. These films are commonly found in a wide range of electronic devices, from smartphones and laptops to industrial power supplies and automotive electronics.
