JFCCs

JFCC stands for Joint Functional Component Command. JFCCs are established by the United States Department of Defense for specific operational purposes, typically involving a combination of forces and capabilities from different branches of the military. These commands are designed to bring together specialized expertise and resources to address particular challenges or execute complex missions.

The concept of JFCCs emerged from the need for more agile and integrated joint operations. They operate under the authority of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or a designated combatant commander.
