Interieurdeur is the Dutch term for an interior door: a movable barrier used inside buildings to divide spaces, provide privacy, control sound and light, and contribute to interior design. Interior doors differ from exterior doors in construction, insulation, and security features, focusing primarily on aesthetics, accessibility, and functional separation.

Materials commonly used for interieurdeuren include solid wood, engineered wood (MDF, HDF), glass (clear, frosted, or patterned), metal, and composite materials. Finish and construction vary from flush and paneled styles to glazed and decorative designs, allowing coordination with architectural styles and interior decor.

Types include standard hinged doors, sliding and pocket doors, folding (concertina) doors, and pivot doors. Some interieurdeuren are glazed to admit light between rooms; others are solid for enhanced privacy or acoustic performance. Specialized variants may be fire-rated or sound-rated to meet building regulations and safety requirements in multi-unit or commercial buildings.

Hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and seals affects operation and performance; prehung units simplify installation while custom frames require on-site fitting. Maintenance typically involves cleaning, periodic refinishing or repainting, and humidity control to prevent warping or swelling in wooden doors.

Sustainability considerations include material sourcing (FSC certification, reclaimed wood) and lifecycle impacts. Interieurdeuren play a functional and aesthetic role in residential and commercial interiors, balancing privacy, circulation, and design coherence.
