Ilmakytkentä refers to the practice of using air as a medium for transmitting power or signals, most commonly seen in pneumatic systems. These systems utilize compressed air to operate various mechanisms, from simple tools like nail guns and impact wrenches to more complex industrial automation processes. The fundamental principle involves generating compressed air, often with a compressor, and then directing this air through a network of hoses, pipes, and valves to power actuators, cylinders, or other pneumatic devices.
