Hotelliles is a term used in design and hospitality literature to describe a class of compact, self-contained hotel units designed for rapid deployment and efficient use of urban space. The concept emphasizes modular construction, prefabrication, and flexible room layouts that can be installed within existing buildings or built as standalone structures. The term has appeared in discussions of micro-hospitality and adaptable urban lodging since the 2010s.

Each hotelliles unit is designed as a self-contained module with a bed, bathroom, and a small kitchenette in a compact footprint. Units are commonly prefabricated off-site and then assembled on site, allowing for vertical stacking or horizontal expansion. Smart infrastructure—climate control, lighting, access, and service requests—is integrated to minimize maintenance and guest friction. Shared amenities and circulation spaces are often consolidated to maximize rentable area.

Hotelliles have been piloted in several cities, particularly where real estate pressure favors reconfigurable spaces. Examples include repurposed office floors and former hotels enhanced with modular units, as well as dedicated towers built around modular room cores. The model supports flexible occupancy and rapid scaling in response to demand.

Industry reception is mixed. Proponents highlight faster construction, lower capital expenditure, and the ability to tailor inventory to demand. Critics raise concerns about privacy and acoustics, the environmental impact of mass-produced modules, and the challenge of delivering a high-quality guest experience in a compact form factor.
