Hjulblokkering
Hjulblokkering, often translated as wheel locking or wheel jamming, refers to the situation where a wheel on a vehicle ceases to rotate. This can occur due to a variety of mechanical failures or external factors. In automotive contexts, it is most commonly associated with braking systems. When a vehicle's brakes are applied forcefully, especially in older vehicles without anti-lock braking systems (ABS), the friction between the brake pads and the rotor or drum can generate enough force to overcome the tire's grip on the road surface. This causes the wheel to stop spinning while the vehicle is still in motion, leading to skidding.
The consequences of hjulblokkering include a significant loss of steering control, as a locked wheel cannot
