Hevoseläimet

Hevoseläimet, scientifically known as Equidae, is a family of perissodactyl mammals that comprises horses, donkeys, and zebras. These animals are characterized by their single-toed feet, hoofed limbs, and a long mane and tail. They are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses and other vegetation. Hevoseläimet are native to Africa, Asia, and Europe, and have been domesticated by humans for thousands of years, playing significant roles in transportation, agriculture, and warfare.

The genus Equus is the sole extant genus within the Equidae family.
