Heuristikatüübid refer to different categories or types of mental shortcuts that people use to make decisions or solve problems more quickly and efficiently. These shortcuts, known as heuristics, are often based on past experiences, intuition, or learned rules of thumb. They are not always accurate and can lead to systematic errors or biases in judgment.

One common type of heuristic is the availability heuristic. This involves making judgments about the likelihood or frequency of an event based on how easily examples come to mind. If something is easily recalled, it's often perceived as more common or probable, even if statistically it is not. For instance, people might overestimate the risk of flying after seeing news reports of a plane crash, because the vivid images are readily available in their memory.

Another type is the representativeness heuristic. This heuristic is used when people judge the probability of an event by how closely it resembles a typical case or stereotype. For example, if someone is described as quiet and reading a lot, people might assume they are more likely to be a librarian than a salesperson, even though there are many more salespeople than librarians. This can lead to stereotyping and overlooking statistical base rates.

Anchoring and adjustment is a third heuristic. This involves starting with an initial piece of information, the "anchor," and then adjusting it to reach a final decision. The adjustment is often insufficient, meaning the final estimate remains close to the original anchor. This can be seen in negotiation, where an initial offer can heavily influence the final agreed-upon price.

These are just a few examples, and various other heuristikatüübid exist, such as affect heuristics, which rely on emotions, or satisficing, which involves choosing the first option that meets minimal criteria rather than searching for the absolute best one. Understanding these different types of heuristics can help explain a wide range of human behaviors and decision-making processes.
