Hausnotrufsysteme, also known as emergency call systems, are devices designed to provide immediate assistance in case of an emergency. They are commonly used by elderly individuals, people with chronic illnesses, or those living alone, offering a sense of security and independence. A typical system consists of a base station, which connects to a landline or mobile network, and a wearable alarm button, usually a pendant or wristband.
When a user presses the alarm button, the base station sends a signal to a monitoring center.
These systems can be powered by mains electricity and often have a battery backup to ensure functionality
