Haemanthus
Haemanthus is a genus of flowering plants in the Amaryllidaceae family, commonly known as blood lilies or paintbrush lilies. These plants are native to the summer rainfall regions of southern Africa, particularly South Africa and Namibia. They are characterized by their large, showy flower heads that appear in a variety of vibrant colors, most commonly red, but also pink, orange, and white. The flowers typically emerge from a basal bulb and are borne on a stout stem.
