Gromit

Gromit is a fictional beagle and the loyal companion of the eccentric inventor Wallace in the British stop-motion animation series Wallace and Gromit, created by Nick Park of Aardman Animations. He first appeared in the 1989 short A Grand Day Out, and is characterized by his silent demeanor, with communication conveyed through facial expressions and body language rather than dialogue.

As Wallace's intelligent and resourceful partner, Gromit often undertakes careful planning and problem solving to avert trouble. He serves as the more calm and rational presence of the duo, protecting Wallace from danger and resolving situations that arise from their inventions and misadventures.

Gromit's screen appearances include A Grand Day Out (1989), The Wrong Trousers (1993), A Close Shave (1995), and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005). The Wrong Trousers won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The character has become a widely recognized icon of British animation and has appeared in related media and merchandise.
