Fußbodenheizung
Fußbodenheizung, also known as floor heating, is a heating system that warms a building from the floor up. It is used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings to provide comfortable, even heating and to reduce heat loss through roof and walls. The system can be broadly divided into electrically driven modules and hydronic (water) systems. In electrically driven floor heating, heating mats or cables are embedded beneath the floor covering. They generate heat by electrical resistance and turn on in response to thermostats. Hydronic floor heating supplies warm water through a network of pipes that are laid flat in the floor slab or embedded in a concrete substrate. When the water circulates, heat radiates from the floor surface. Hydronic systems are generally more energy efficient and better suited for larger areas or climates where heating loads are high.
Installation of a Fußbodenheizung requires careful planning to ensure even heat distribution and to minimise thermal
The advantages of Fußbodenheizung include improved thermal comfort, the elimination of draughts, higher energy density and
