Friulano
Friulano is a white wine grape variety native to the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. It is one of the region’s most characteristic white varieties, especially in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli zones. The grape has been known under several synonyms, including Tocai Friulano and Sauvignon Vert (Sauvignonasse in some regions). In 2007 the Tocai Friulano name was replaced with Friulano to avoid confusion with Hungary’s Tokaji.
