Expressionbodied

Expression-bodied members are a feature in C# that allows for a more concise syntax when defining methods, properties, indexers, and operators that have a single expression as their body. This syntax, introduced in C# 6, uses an arrow token (`=>`) followed by the expression. The result of the expression is implicitly returned by the member.

For example, a simple method that returns a calculated value can be written using expression-bodied syntax. Instead of using curly braces and a return statement, the expression is directly placed after the arrow. This can significantly reduce the amount of boilerplate code for members that are primarily concerned with returning the result of an expression.

The same principle applies to read-only properties and indexers. A property that simply returns the value of a backing field or a computed value can be defined concisely. Similarly, operators can also leverage this syntax for their implementations.

The primary benefit of expression-bodied members is improved code readability and conciseness, especially for simple implementations. They help to streamline code, making it easier to scan and understand the intent of the member. However, for members with multiple statements or complex logic, the traditional curly brace syntax remains the appropriate choice. Expression-bodied members are essentially syntactic sugar for a single statement return.
