Eurotox

Eurotox, officially the Federation of European Toxicology Societies (EUROTOX), is a non-profit umbrella organization that unites national and regional toxicology societies across Europe. It aims to advance the science of toxicology, promote education and training, and facilitate collaboration among researchers, regulators, and industry to improve public health and safety.

Membership is composed of national toxicology societies and affiliated organizations within Europe. The federation is governed by an executive committee elected by a general assembly, with a permanent secretariat handling day-to-day operations and coordination of activities. EUROTOX coordinates scientific exchanges, educational initiatives, and career development opportunities for its members.

A central activity is the organization of the EUROTOX Congress, a major international conference on toxicology typically held every two years. The congress brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and industry representatives to present research, discuss regulatory science, and explore new methods in toxicology. In addition to the congress, EUROTOX supports education and training programs, travel grants, and awards for early-career scientists, and it disseminates information through newsletters and other communications.

EUROTOX collaborates with IUTOX, the International Union of Toxicology, and other international bodies to develop guidelines, promote high standards for toxicology education, and advocate for evidence-based regulation and public health policies.
