In the commonly cited Veridia setting, they are river-dwelling communities of Eldara, a eastern continental region, and the name is often interpreted as a blend of terms associated with night and people, though etymologies differ by author.

Physically, Enverronts typically stand 1.6 to 1.9 meters tall and have slender builds. Their skin tones range from sallow to copper, and many individuals display faint bioluminescent patterns on the upper torso and arms that can glow in darkness. They possess relatively large eyes with iridescent coloration, adapted to low-light environments, and usually have four fingers on each hand.
