Dykdator
Dykdator, or diving computer, is a device used by divers to monitor depth, bottom time, and decompression status during a dive. It helps manage nitrogen loading and ascent plans by calculating safe limits and stop sequences based on a decompression model. Dykdatorn can be used for recreational dives as well as some forms of technical diving, where multiple gas mixes and more complex decompression schedules are involved.
Most dykdatorer include a depth sensor, a timer, a battery, and a user interface. They typically require
Features commonly found in diving computers include alarms for excessive depth, rapid ascent, or exceeding no-decompression
Usage and limitations: a dykdator is a tool that supports safe diving practices but does not replace
